What NMPRA is working on ... (September 2009 Update)

	September 8th 2009

NMPRA's Program Membership is well ahead compared to this time last year and this includes up to date resident information so NMPRA is better able to contact the Med-Peds Residents across the country!

As new programs are established we encourage these programs to participate in NMPRA and be connected with what Med-Peds Residents are doing around the country.

The NMPRA board voted to continue current registration fees which are based on the number of residents in each program, which will allow new programs to have a membership that is fee free until they have residents to fill their new positions. This should help with resident recruitment and keeping all Med-Peds programs connected on NMPRA news and happenings.

NMPRA Board Members are voting on the Advocacy awards and Case presentations this week. Thanks for all the submissions!

NMPRA is looking forward to the National Meeting in Washington, DC on October 17th 2009. The board is working hard to make this a great experience for those who are able attend!

This year all residents can register for the NMPRA National Meeting via www.medpeds.org and PayPal.

Dr. Friedland is working to have Med-Peds added to the Primary Care Specialties on House Bill 3200. Please keep checking the website for more information on how to contact your Legislator for this important designation for Med-Peds Physicians.
