NMPRA invites all its resident members to submit interesting med-peds clinical cases for our Annual Med-Peds Clinical Case Abstract Competition. Cases should be interesting clinical presentations pertinent to internal medicine and should also display significant educational value to the Med-Peds audience. Cases may not have been presented previously at regional or national levels. However, those who have been presented locally may still submit their abstracts for consideration. Residents may submit only one case for the competition.
The two winning case abstracts will have the honor to present their case at our National NMPRA Annual Meeting in Boston. Each speaker will have 10-15 minutes dedicated to their case.

Submission Details

All applications should include the following:
  • Your Full Name, Program, PGY Level
  • Contact Information: Phone number, Email address, Program
  • Director’s Email Address and Program Director’s Name
  • Title of the Case
  • Brief Abstract including clinical case presentation and discussion. Your total abstract, including all of the information above, should not exceed 2200 characters.

Abstracts will be reviewd by NMPRA Board members to determine the winners. Cased over the 2200 character limit will not be considered.

All application materials and questions regarding this grant should be directed to the NMPRA President-Elect at president-elect@medpeds.org.

Doctor Mom

"I am a practicing Internist & Pediatrician in a suburb of Detroit. That means I see patients of all ages. I would love to educate other parents with some of the vast amount of information in my small brain that cost me a fortune to obtain, both in hours and in dollars. It has been a long, hard road to get where I am today; and I would love to share my thoughts about the journey."

Stories in Medicine
I am a physician practicing Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. This blog chronicles my life first as a medical student, then as a resident. It is about stories of medicine. If you think 'Scrubs' or 'Grey's Anatomy' tells the stories of a resident's life, then here is what it is really like (for one resident, anyway).
