NEW MEMBERS

There are two types of membership for residents in NMPRA:

Residency Program Membership: The most common type of membership is the Residency Program Membership.  Each Med-Peds residency and fellowship program is eligible for Residency Program Membership.  A Residency Program Membership is $150/year (or $15/resident/year for programs with fewer than 10 residents), and all current trainees, faculty members, and alumni of the program are granted active member status.  Active member status confers a number of benefits as listed in the link below.  Please check our list of Meds-Peds Programs http://www.medpeds.org/program_map.htm to see that your program is currently listed in our database.

If you need a new profile created, or want to make changes in your current profile, please contact the NMPRA Coordinator, Cheryl Dempsey at nmpra@medpeds.org.  To join NMPRA, simply print out our invoice form at http://www.medpeds.org/PDF/NMPRAMembershipInvoice.pdf and mail this with your membership check to the address listed on the form.  You will receive an email with details on how to update and maintain your program’s NMPRA database, along with a packet containing a welcome letter from NMPRA’s President and NMPRA pins for all your Med-Peds residents.

Individual Resident Membership: Individual resident memberships are for those whose training program is not a current member of NMPRA. Individual resident memberships are $15/person/year and convey almost all of the same benefits as the Residency Program Memberships. Click the link below to see the benefits of individual membership in NMPRA. To join NMPRA as a new Individual Resident Member, please contact our NMPRA Coordinator, Cheryl Dempsey, at nmpra@medpeds.org.   Or simply print out our invoice form at http://www.medpeds.org/PDF/NMPRAMembershipInvoice.pdf and mail this with your $15 membership check to the address listed on the form.  You will receive a packet containing a welcome letter from NMPRA’s President along with a NMPRA lapel pin.

Both Residency Program Membership and Individual Resident Membership entitles you to our quarterly newsletter, participation in nmpra-l, and the ability to apply for our grants and awards, and many other benefits.

A complete list of NMPRA membership benefits can be found at NMPRA Membership Benefits.

NMPRA also allows medical students interested in Med-Peds to participate in NMPRA:

Individual Medical Student Participation: Individual Medical Students can participate in NMPRA by emailing their name, email, and address information to our NMPRA Coordinator, Cheryl Dempsey, at nmpra@medpeds.org.  There is no fee for a medical student to participate in NMPRA.  As a medical student involved in NMPRA you will receive our quarterly newsletter, can participate in nmpra-l, and receive emails from NMPRA.  You will also receive a NMPRA pin free of charge.
